Badminton
Badminton is a sport that can be played by a single player or doubles.
Badminton carried out in a field and separated by a net. Badminton scoring
system in which players can get scores when hits to the area opponents over the
net and the opponent can’t return the shuttlecock. Badminton also an referee
that controlling of scoring system in a game of badminton. The referee can give
a yellow card if there is a player who commits an offense during a match.
Shuttlecock is a ball used in playing badminton. Shuttlecock have conical
open formed and formed from 16 goose feather, fueled cork round. This cork is covered
by thin skin or other synthetic materials like plastic.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is an international organization for
the sport of badminton. BWF was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton
Federation with 9 members include Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland,
Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland, and Wales, but now the number of members
increased to 165 associations from around the world.
The BWF organizes
several international competitions, such as the Thomas Cup
and Uber Cup. The Thomas Cup is the men's international team event and first
held in 1948–1949, and the Uber Cup
is the women's international team event and first held in 1956–1957.
The competitions now take place once every two years.
